What is your favorite place to go in your city?
When I did summer research or volunteered at the Texas Medical Center, I loved to stop by at the nearby Hermann Park. It was so accessible to me as it’s right by the light rail, and I would sit down, relax, hang out at the Japanese Garden, or the McGovern Lake. Sometimes, I would sit on a bench and write whatever comes to mind or mindlessly sketch.
I still work around the area, but I don’t stop by as much as I used to as transportation is trickier now that I drive to work and parking is ridiculous at the TMC. But I stop by every once in a while when I want to go to the nearby Museum District. Now that I think about it, that whole Hermann Park/Museum District area is my favorite!
