What’s your favorite month of the year? Why?
My favorite month of the year is December because I love the holidays and the decorations around my city. Plus, it can get cold… sometimes! And I love the cold. Too bad it’s hot or humid and gross most of the time in Houston. But I know I can find at least some reprieve in the weather this time of year.
December is also the time for family to get together. That, and the lights look really pretty at night. We have Christmas trees that light up the dark with their familiar array of colors, fading in and out, just like when I was a small child. It certainly takes me back.
This year, we get to celebrate it with my toddler nephew. He’s a sweet little kid. I can’t wait for us to show him the wonder and magic of the holiday season.
