What are your favorite animals?
Ah, where to start? First of all, it might be obvious, but among my top choice for favorite animal is the mighty – and cute – bear. The others are cats, dogs, and otters. I think those are on the top of my list. There’ll probably be more once I think of them since I love animals. But dogs I love because of their loyalty and sweetness – I already wrote about my beloved dog Lucky and how he was the best pupper. I didn’t grow up with cats so younger and prejudiced me would have been surprised to find I do indeed like them. I have seen the light through my ex’s cat Sophie, who loved me so much despite her somewhat scary and unpredictable nature. She treated me like I was the mom she never had; she made biscuits on me whenever she could and would always sit on my lap as soon as I took a seat. Somehow, I had tamed her angry little heart.
Unfortunately for me, she belonged to my ex and I could not take her home with me when we broke up. I do miss the chonker and I hope she is doing well.
