A Fable of Remorse

A fable of remorse,
a fleck of dust upon the rose –
see the moonlight
dance upon the falling snow,
the trickling dew at dawn,
a whimper in the night.

Surrender thine
to the waves of blue,
hands upon the water,
sparkling eyes toward the blistering sun.
A bath upon the shore,
baptized beneath the trembling waves,
blessed beneath the burning sky.

The skies above –
soaring,
stationary clouds,
the world, whirled,
rock spinning across the galaxy.
Sunrise shakes its thunder.

The clamor that consumes –
my fear – adrift
upon the abyssal ocean.
Scatter to the wind,
And let the waters carry you home.
